An Easy Way to Wear Denim on Denim
This year, wearing denim on denim is a pretty trendy combination. This super cool style is making lots of people want to give it a try, including myself.
For this look, I took a slight spin on this denim on denim trend. Instead of wearing a blue denim jacket or shirt with matching blue denim jeans, I wore white denim jeans and a light wash denim jacket. By wearing a different combination of denim color you don’t have to worry about looking like you’re sporting the canadian tuxedo, you really don’t want to go there.
If want to wear denim on denim but are afraid of how it might look, this outfit is a great place to start. Select a denim jacket or denim chambray top that is a totally different color from the denim jeans you’re planning to pair it with.
In this outfit, I paired white and blue denim. If you don’t want to wear white denim pants try switching up the pieces. For example, you can wear a white denim jacket with blue denim pants. Just choose a combination that you’re comfortable with so you feel stylish and confident.
An Easy Way to Brighten Up Your Outfit
Do you ever feel like you’re a one or two color type of gal?
Like you might be missing some color variety in your wardrobe?
If you do, spring is the perfect time to jump of the color bandwagon. Spring is when color comes back in everything, from pencil skirts to loafers.
You can see from my looks that I’ve been wearing a lot of blue and white combinations. It might be because of spring or because I can’t wait for summer. I have a tendency of sticking with a color combination so to break up the repetition I add a splash of color. In this outfit, I added a bright yellow clutch to add another dimension to this blue and white look.
Last week’s blue and white outfit I added a bright red handbag.
It’s simple to change up the entire feel of a look with just one: clutch, handbag, shirt, or shoes.
If you feel like you’re falling into a one or two color pattern try adding a pop of color with an accessory. If you’re feeling bold, try a bright fuschia skirt or tangerine top.
Let me know how you add color to your spring outfits!
