A Winter Outfit for Venice in November
I don’t remember the exact temperature but I was freezing. I needed a winter outfit that was cozy, comfortable and stylish.
I wanted this outfit to to have a bright pop of color so I wore a dress and a skirt. I layered a white sweater for a sharp contrast. Added black leggings and leather gloves to keep me warm. I wore leopard flats for a bit of pattern and comfort. My essential travel coat and mini crossbody completed this winter outfit.
Overall I was able to walk for hours and still be cozy warm. The gloves did help a lot and they also add a nice touch to the outfit.
These photos were taken very early one morning in Venice. Peter and I woke up at 6am and out the door by 7am. We wanted to photograph St. Marks square without lots of people in it. We also wanted to see sunrise, we wanted to see the city come to life, we wanted to see the merchants set-up for the day and we wanted to people watch.
As you can see in the last photo the square got covered in water. It only took a couple of hours. When we arrived in the morning the square was dry and once a couple of hours passed the water slowly started coming up through the square. The people in the background are walking on tables in order to enter the church and get across the square.
I felt lucky to be able to experience such a unique occurrence. I’ll share more travel photos of Venice in a few upcoming travel posts.
I hope you love the photos! Scroll to the end of the post to see the outfit details.
PS: I’m working on my blog redesign! Look for it soon!
