A Dressy Casual Thanksgiving Outfit
Holiday Outfit Series
If you’re wondering what to wear for the holidays then you’re in luck! In the upcoming weeks, I’m going to share Thanksgiving outfits, Christmas and New Year’s Eve outfit ideas. From casual, dressy casual and dressy for each holiday.
Yesterday I shared with you a casual outfit idea for Thanksgiving. Today we’re going to cover dressy casual.
Dressy Casual Outfit for Thanksgiving
When the dress code says dressy casual what do you reach for? Skirt, dresses, trousers? Or do you wonder what the heck do I wear?
When the dress code calls for dressy casual it usually means no jeans, shorts or t-shirts.
Instead of jeans wear trousers and instead of a t-shirt opt for a nice blouse.
In this outfit, I went with seasonal colors. Burgundy trousers and a fun metallic and emerald green shirt. This works well with my skin tone and the fun fabric of the shirt keeps this outfit from looking too dressy.
I matched the gold and green from the shirt to the gold and green in the mini crossbody. Nude pumps and emerald green studs complete the look.
To create a similar thanksgiving outfit look for trousers that have a fun aspect to them. Instead of just going with a brown or black look for forest green, burgundy or even a beautiful jacquard fabric. On you have the trousers look for a nice coordinating blouse.
What are your outfit plans for the holidays? Are you having dinner at your parents? Your boyfriend’s parents? Wherever your Thanksgiving plans bring you make sure have a stylish outfit for the evening filled with festivities and family!
