What to Wear for Thanksgiving – Casual Look

Thanksgiving is around the corner and that means yummy food, family gatherings and saying thanks for all the things we are grateful for. In addition to all those wonderful things we have to think about our Thanksgiving outfit.

Depending on your plans for the holiday you will have to consider what dress is appropriate for the gathering. Casual, dressy casual or dressy. These three “dress codes” cover the variety of occasions that might occur.

Over the next three days I’m going to share with you three different outfits keeping these three dress styles in mind. Today I share with you a casual Thanksgiving outfit.

You have a lot of options when it comes to casual dress just don’t be too casual.

An easy and casual Thanksgiving outfit formula is: dark wash jeans, boots, fall colored sweater and scarf. Accessorize to your liking.

If you don’t have riding boots you could wear ankle boots, flat boots, booties or even thigh high boots. Since it’s Fall why not take advantage of the season and wear your favorite pair of boots.

For the sweater go for something light. Most likely you’ll be indoors and it will be warm so instead of a thick sweater opt for a thinner sweater. Also select a sweater in a gorgeous Fall color like emerald green, burgundy, or mustard yellow. This is the ideal holiday to be wear these jeweled hues.

As for the scarf, have fun with it! Wear plaid, paisley, tartan or chevron. It’s stylish and cozy while traveling around and if you get hot just take it off.

In Italy

On another note, I’m leaving to Italy! As I’m writing this I’m in LAX waiting to catch my flight to Rome! It’s my first time visiting the country and I’m going to be there for almost a month! I’m actually going to be missing Thanksgiving Day at home but I still wanted to share with you what I would wear :).

If you have any recommendations on what to see, eat and do please let me know! I’m going to Rome, Venice, Milan and Florence.

Every city has its own magic (except when it’s too crowded with tourists), I hope you’ll have great time there! 🙂
