How to Wear Gray and Burgundy
Fall is beginning to show its colors. Little hints of gold and red and starting to appear here and there. I live in Central California and we’re incredibly lucky to have a colorful and visually intense Fall season. You’re able to see a single golden tree in these photos. And so the changes begin.
Many of you have noticed the way I’ve been recently mixing my colors. I mixed browns and blues in my Fall Pumpkin Patch Outfit and blues and burgundy in a professional outfit. More than any other season I feel that fall, however short, is the perfect time to play with your favorite colors. Royal blues, red and purples, deep burgundy, forest green or and all the shades of brown are the hues you will most likely see me in the next month or so.
The first item I reached for in this outfit was the gray crewneck sweater, and then built on that. I added a checkered gray scarf (my boyfriends), a pair of burgundy pants and brown ankle booties. The shade gray you wear determines the color of burgundy. If you wear a lighter shade of gray, like I did, you want to wear a deeper shade of burgundy. If you have a darker shade of gray you can go with a lighter shade of burgundy, maybe with something a little pinker.
