Shorts and Tee – The Classic Summer Combination
Celebrating Summer and All-American Icons with Macy’s
The warm sunny days of summer are almost here – it’s time to bring out your seasonal classics and switch to summer fashion mode!
Are weekends at the beach, picnics in the park, or city-to-city road trips already scheduled on your summer calendar? They are on mine! I’m itching at the chance to get on the road and enjoy some sun, sand, and surf. With the change of activities and weather comes the change in wardrobe, color, fabrics, and patterns.
An outfit combo that I always have handy, whether it be a casual day at a Farmers Market or enjoying a fruity drink in a Cali beach town, is shorts and a tee shirt. This easy breezy outfit combination is as effortless as it is All-American.
Denim shorts and a tee are one of the easiest outfit combinations to wear for summer. It’s simple and you can change it up to fit your style. If you’re more glam than classic, no problem, reach for a pair of embellished shorts. Want to show your American spirit? Go red, white, and blue and wear shorts with a printed flag pattern.
Being the classic gal that I am, I reach for dark wash denim cuffed shorts and a graphic tee. As an added touch, I wore another summer classic: the denim jacket. To balance the double denim, denim shorts and denim jacket, I made sure to have different washes. Dark wash jeans with light wash jacket makes for a fun a stylish summer duo.
Are you in need of a pair of shorts and tee for summer? Take a look at Macy’s All American page to add these staples to your summer wardrobe!
What’s your take on an All-American summer look? Is it a maxi tank dress or fun flirty skirt?
PS: How cool are those black aviators?! They are on my must wear items list this summer.
