Blue and White for Summer

Summer is in full swing, and a color combination I’ve been catching myself wearing a lot of is blue and white. This color duo is perfect for the stylish days of summer!

The blue and white combo is light and fresh for summer it doesn’t matter if you’re inland or near the water, these colors are easy to wear. Chances are you might already have a lot of blue and white in your closet since they are both neutrals.

In this outfit, there are two things I focused on, the layering and the colors.

I used a white chiffon dress as my base. A light and airy fabric are perfect for layering because you’ll want to wear light layers during the summer heat.

I then layered a dark blue printed spaghetti strap top. The dark blue top is light and airy like the dress. In the summer, you don’t want to layer on thick or heavy fabric, look for fabrics like silk, chiffon, lace or gauze.

The white dress and blue printed top started the blue and white theme.

To accentuate my waist, I added a thin gold belt. To keep the gold theme going, I kept all of my accessories gold and even my mini crossbody had a gold chain. It’s the details that are important to pay attention to and make all the difference.

The light blue and gold metallic flats match the light blue denim jacket. The color coordination helps the eye move fluidly from top to bottom.

A pair of fun sunglasses and peter’s Panama hat completes this blue and white summer outfit.
