A Lime Green Summer Skirt
I recently shared my first outfit post, A Summer of Color, focusing on wearing color for summer. In that post, I raved about my newfound appreciation for summer brights though I usually stay away from colors that are too bright because at times they make me appear a little too tanned. But to show you that I’m not kidding when it comes to wearing brights this summer – today I share with you my second post where I incorporated a color I wouldn’t normally wear, lime green. I paired this wonderfully lively skirt with neutrals because it’s already very bright. I didn’t wear any additional bright colors because I didn’t want to take away from the skirt; I wanted it to be the center of the outfit. I think this was achieved with the cream top, brown belt and shoes and not to mention the earthy location.
Keep-in-mind, that if you’re trying to ease into the world of color you don’t need to plunge into the deep end by wearing all bright colors. You can try one piece at a time, as I did in this outfit, or if you’re feeling a little braver you can wear lots of color, like I did in my last outfit.
Are you like me? Starting to become a fan of color? I would love to read your colorful thoughts in the comments below!
