Black Jeans Outfit for Work
It can be a struggle to wear jeans to the office, especially if it’s a blue light wash jeans, but if you wear black jeans to the office the outfit options are endless.
But there is a loophole to this no-jeans dilemma! Black jeans can easily be dressed up to create a black jeans outfit that is office appropriate!
I’ve always been the person in the office that dressed “the part.” I come from a business background and was even a member of a professional business fraternity. So professional dress was instilled in me at the young age of 19. I always wanted to be the most “professional dressed” and I’m not going to be humble here, most of the time I was.
Dressing professional in the work environment is critical to your career. Now that I own my own business, I have more flexibility on what I wear to the office but I still like to keep it stylishly professional the vast majority of the time, especially when I’m in meeting with our clients.
Instead of wearing light wash jeans to the office I prefer black skinny jeans.
Black jeans are the office attire loophole.
Black jeans are easy to dress up and can even look like cropped trousers so the outfit options are endless.
In this black jeans outfit, I decided to wear a gray button down with cuffed sleeves, tucked in. For the heels, I wanted to add femininity so I went with a floral print and finished the outfit with silver accessories and a belt. The belt is masculine to match the shirt and it’s also Peter’s, another reason the belt looks so mannish.
But don’t think that pairing black jeans with a button down is your only option. I’ve styled black jeans for work with a collarless tweed blazer, glitter flats and a boyfriend tee for a polished look.
For a masculine look, I’ve worn black jeans with a pair of black ankle boots and long black blazer, men’s watch and belt. The feminine touch in that look was a white chiffon blouse.
Lastly, you can wear an all-black look and add color or pattern with accessories. During the fall I like to wear scarfs so I pair black jeans with a plaid scarf.
There are tons of options when trading your blue jeans for black – you just need to remember that for office looks you need to look professional and put together. If you manage those two things, you got it!
Have you styled black jeans for the office before?
