Magic – Las Vegas Convention Center
Magic at the Las Vegas Convention Center
Unless you’ve attended Magic before it is a little hard to explain the magnitude of this event. We tried to take photos that would capture the scale of the rooms. Magic is broken down into many sections such as footwear, juniors, accessories, kids and so on. But then those sections are broken down even further. For example, FNPlatform has Cosmo, Black, Play, Bond, Camp and Zen. This organization is designed to make the event easier to navigate and for all related products to be sectioned together. Below are the sections that appear in the photos above.
White
The timeless sophistication of apparel of the brands within “White” truly leads the conference in elegance.
Young Contemporary
This section was definitely the section to find the hottest tops, hippest denim and coolest dresses at the show. In this section I was able to visit with a familiar brand, Vertigo Paris. This well established brand is adjusting for its new American market release and I am very excited.
FNPlatform
FNPlatform is a shoe lover’s dream, everywhere you turn are shoes, shoes, shoes. They have high heels, flats, wedges, sandals, boots, a few odd balls, and more. Platform is the number one event for footwear and it’s a great place to see the entire industry come together and share their designs.
Emerging Designer Showcase
I love supporting emerging designers and at the WWDMagic Launch Pad I was able to meet upcoming woman’s designers who displayed their innovative designs. One of my favorites from this section was Jolynn by Joanne Hong (pictured above).
Sourcing
The global Magic trade show also featured international representation through North America’s largest sourcing event.
Seminar Series
We only had time to attend one seminar while at Magic but I am happy that we did. We attended The Evolution of Retail and the Rise of the Connected Shopper. The speaker Jamie Gutfreund, did a fantastic job explaining how the retail industry can connect with Gen Y.
Hope you enjoyed the photo overload! Let me know if you like this many photos.
