One Dress from Work to Play
An Easy Transition from Work to Play
Now that summer is here, there are many things we need to start considering; getting a nice tan, going to the lake/beach, stocking up on cute white shorts, making fresh cocktail drinks and making an easy transition from work to play. I say, work to play instead of day to night because during summer all I think about (and I’m sure you’re the same) is leaving the office and going out to play. This can be: outdoor dinners, leisurely shopping, going to the movies or having drinks with friends.
When I know I’m going to go from work to play I try to make my life easier. To do so, I start off with an easy transition item, like a dress. Second, I know I want to be comfortable so I prefer flats on summer evenings and I’m loving the flats in this outfit post – very comfy and cute! To really make this outfit more relaxed I lost the belt and added a cute chambray shirt over it. Easy enough, right?
If you’re lusting over these pieces, but not sure how they’ll work for you, take a look how I’ve styled these items in previous outfits.

What an awesome way to transition from work to play! I love your shoes (both of them!) you look like you’re walking on clouds 🙂 Your outfits and pictures are always SO gorgeous- and you look beautiful! I love the patterns on your dress. I’m not very good at transitioning outfits…. I usually just end up changing. hehe

ChristyThank you so much Christy! The blur really makes the floor look like clouds, it’s a neat effect I love. Dresses, in my opinion are the easiest pieces to transition so try it with that first.
victoria
