If you’re planning on going to the beach the thought of what to wear to the beach has crossed your mind.

What should I pack, what do I need, what would make a cute outfit on and off the beach are questions that cross our minds during spring getaways or summer vacations. No matter how many times we’ve gone to the beach before the thought of not packing the right clothing can be a little stressful.

When I headed to the beach last weekend I was very prepared. I had already planned my Essential 3-Day Weekend Beach Packing List the week before. Planning a packing list is the first step in answering the question what to wear to the beach. My complete outfits were planned for on and off the beach.

The main questions you need to take into account when packing for the beach are:

• How long will you be gone?
• What are your planned activities? (Surfing? Boating? Snorkeling? They all call for different attire.)
• How’s the weather?
• Will you need socks for anything? And for the matter, shoes?

If you answer these four questions correctly then you should have no problem while you’re traveling.

Answering What to Wear to the Beach

My perfect outfit to wear to the beach is a fun short printed dress, coordinating wedges, sunglasses, hat and cute accessories.

A short printed dress in a light material is the perfect piece to bring with you to the beach because it’s fun, easy, breezy without much hassle involved.

A dress is also great because you can wear it over your swimsuit. So you can transition from drinks at a fancy bar to the beach with just removing one item.

When finding your perfect dress remember to look for something with a fun pattern in a brighter color. I prefer blue because it can be worn with everything.

A hat is an essential for sun protection. You don’t have to wear a panama hat but make sure to wear one that coordinates with your dress and outfits. Personally I prefer a panama hat because it goes with everything from a bathing suit to dressy outfits.

Lastly, accessories and wedges to finish off the look.
