I know this is a timid take on pattern mixing but when you just want to wear something casual without much hustle and bustle – stripes and polka dots will always work. There are a variety of ways of mixing these two patterns from tame to extreme. For example, a bold black and white striped dress with a polka dot clutch might be too daring for some but ultimately it’s really what you’re in the mood for.

We’ve taken photos in The Grand 1401 before, Wearing Sparkle, but this day was different, it was magical. I wish I could take 100% of the credit but to be honest we didn’t exactly know what to expect on our first visit to the top floor of this beautiful location. All the pieces just came together effortlessly.
The extremely bright color summer trend is carrying its way into Fall. Vibrant yellows, greens, blues, purples, pinks and oranges were in many of the fall runway collections and soon to be in many of our wardrobes.
