I know this is a timid take on pattern mixing but when you just want to wear something casual without much hustle and bustle – stripes and polka dots will always work. There are a variety of ways of mixing these two patterns from tame to extreme. For the last weekend of summer we decided to head to the beach. Very appropriate don’t you think? We packed our swimsuits and drove to Santa Cruz, California. We knew there was going to be lots and lots of people and as you can see in the photo above of the beach boardwalk that certainly was the case. We arrived early and found a place to park because once the fog cleared and the temperature increased everyone flocks to the beach.
