Pacific Coast Highway Road trip
Over the past few days I’ve been sharing updates from my Pacific Coast Highway road trip. We started in Pacific Coastal Highway Drive Begins – San Francisco. Here we explored the Golden Gate Bridge, shopped and took in one of my favorite cities in the world.
From San Francisco we drove south on Highway 1 and shared photos of the beautiful California coast and beaches in the post, Pacific Coast Highway – Spectacular Coastline.
We stopped at many beaches and in this post, Love is Beautiful – Santa Monica Beach Outfit, I shared one of my favorite crochet shorts. Santa Monica is not just any beach; it is famous for its pier that offers rides, food and many other fun activities.
Highway 1 Ending
Normally, the famous Pacific Coast Highway road trip is described two ways; either San Francisco to about Morro Bay or the longer route San Diego to Crescent City that takes you on both Highway 1 and the 101. Our goal was to explore San Francisco to Long Beach and places in between. In today’s post you’ll see photos from Long Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu.
I saw many beautiful cities, beaches, national parks and of course some of the best shopping California has to offer. If you’re thinking or planning on taking this drive, I would highly recommend you start in San Francisco, and take your time to stop in Carmel by the Sea, Big Sur, and Santa Monica. These were the most beautiful and memorable destinations on this PCH journey.

I have to say, my fave is the little spot right in the middle of Santa Monica and Pacific Beach! We moved to SM from Connecticut and I was mesmerized by that little stretch of beautiful beach. Abbott Kinney Blvd is soooo quaint with all the boutiques and the little beach cottages on the canals (to mimic the original Venice, Italy) are so darling….I love southern Cali!!

It was my first time visiting Santa Monica and fell in love with this beautiful place. I didn’t get to see Abbott Kinnery Blvd but thank you so much for sharing will definitely check it out next time I go!!

my favorite spot on PCH is gotta be Santa Barbara…well…Los Olivos to be accurate!

Yes we used a fisheye lens for the pic with the roller coaster. I’ve never visited Los Olivos, but thank you for sharing will stop there next time I am along the coast!
