There are many shopping areas in Palm Desert and its surrounding cities below are three shopping destinations that I visited and would recommend. Before I went to Palm Desert I researched the area to figure out where the shopping areas were and well I didn’t find any real good information. So with this post I hope to explain and give a little more detail into where one can shop when visiting this beautiful desert getaway.
The Shops on El Paseo
Located on the beautiful El Paseo Drive, these shops have something for everyone. From the designer brands; Ralph Lauren, Escada, Burberry, Saks Fifth Avenue to the stores we all love and shop at constantly like, J.Crew and Anthropologie.
One of my favorite surprises is Tommy Bahama’s. I’m not talking about the store but to the upstairs bar and restaurant. Just pass through the store, head up stairs and enjoy a view of the desert mountains.
The Premium Outlets in Desert Hills
If you’re staying in Palm Desert you would have to drive about 30 minute to get to the these premium outlets but it is well worth it. There are 130 stores in this shopping center and lots and lots of deals. You would find anything you need here with stores such as Theory, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Giorgio Armani, Gucci and so many many more.
When I went shopping in these stores (January) everything was an extra % off. I bought a Coach purse that was originally $400 for $100 and many BCBG Max Azria items! Or you can get an amazing Dolce & Gabbana dress for $400 instead of $3,000! You can really spend all day here and also spend all of you money so I would leave this place for the end of your trip because you are most likely going to shop a lot.
The Boutiques of the JW Marriott Resort
The JW Marriott Desert Springs is a huge resort in Palm Desert. You can see a glimpse of its grandeur in the last photo. It has its own lake and a gondola that will take you to different restaurants on the resort. There is an area in the hotel called the colonnade which houses many wonderful boutiques. Each boutique is unique and has wonderful products, like the owl handbag that I am holding in the photo above. The handbag is called “What a hoot” designed by Mary Frances.
These boutiques have many resort and vacation items, very much for the person looking for that great hat, sandals or accessories. Speaking of hats, you know that large black and white hat I wore in a previous post I bought it in one of these boutiques.
I know this is a longer post than usual but I hope you enjoyed it and found it informative.
