“Love Your Food Everyday”
Traveling and eating healthy can be difficult when you’re unsure of where to go.
I know some of you might be thinking healthy? Heck no, I’m on vacation! The same thought crosses my mind while globe-trotting but Peter and I are adamant about our healthy lifestyle. Oh, and we’re preparing for Tough Mudder. Yes, you read it correctly. Tough Mudder! But that’s a different story for another day. If you want to see me, not so stylish, covered in mud make sure to follow me on instagram I will share a few photos this Saturday. =)
While in Palo Alto, Peter and I visited this super awesome, super delicious, and super mellow restaurant: LYFE Kitchen. This place is healthy to the core. It’s inherent in every little detail from the cleaning supplies, recycled furniture to the food on your plate. Everything is health, and earth conscious.
It’s healthy eating without the sacrifice. How do they do that? They offer three menu variations to choose from; eat everything, vegan and vegetarian, and gluten free. This means if your friend has a gluten allergen or is vegan you can have a flavorful meal together without either one sacrificing.
Also, you don’t have to worry about what you’re eating. Everything in their menus are good for you, under 600 calories, crafted to give you a huge dose of healthy, and almost all ingredients are locally sourced and seasonal. Imagine everything that you could want from your food: tasty, thoughtfully prepared, and yummy, that’s LYFE.
Do you want healthy to be a lifestyle rather than a trendy diet? At LYFE, nutrition and taste go hand in hand instead of sacrificing savory for GMO free foods. Being healthy doesn’t need to be difficult. LYFE is where you eat to change your lifestyle for the better or continue on your health conscious path. It’s fast food without the fast-food feel. It’s nutritious, environmentally safe, tasty, and affordable. If there were one of these where I lived I would eat at it every day, without a doubt.
LYFE, where one bite changes everything. Yes, I might sound like a fanatic but Peter and I have taken being “healthy” as a way of life rather than a diet that comes and goes. We climb mountains and go on crazy adventures – being able to do these things has a lot to do with what we put into our bodies.
So, you stylish one, how do you feel about living a healthy (stylish) life rather than thinking of it as a diet?
If you have a question about our health regimen or about one of these photos let me know in the comments!
