A Romantic Look for Romantic Valentine’s Day

Last week I shared my first look on this Valentine’s Day outfit series, a casual outfit. Today, I share with you a romantic look.

Dressing up for this one special day might be a bit cliché for some but many woman do it, I being one of them. Whether you choose to go with a sexy, sweet or flirty look for your Valentine’s Day plans it’s important to enjoy the moment with the one you love.

The Valentine’s theme of this outfit is romantic and cute. The combination of this black sweetheart lace dress, heart pendant necklace and the pink satin heels truly plays off of the Valentine’s day theme.

Santa Cruz

For the last weekend of summer we decided to head to the beach. Very appropriate don’t you think? We packed our swimsuits and drove to Santa Cruz, California. We knew there was going to be lots and lots of people and as you can see in the photo above of the beach boardwalk that certainly was the case. We arrived early and found a place to park because once the fog cleared and the temperature increased everyone flocks to the beach. If you ever visit Santa Cruz, I would advice that you visit the Lighthouse Point on West Cliff Drive. As you can see from the photos there are lots of surfers and many beautiful views.

Fun little fact. That little brick building, pictured above, is the worlds first surfing museum (Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse Surfing Museum) it opened its doors in June 1986.

Beach Outfit

I bought this racerback tank at Zara. It’s bright, neon, yellow and has little holes in it which to me means a perfect beach cover up. What other thing would you wear at the beach? Flip-flops of course. These lovely sandals were given to me from Havaianas, they claim they make the best flip-flops in the world, you know what I think – it’s true.

Sunset & Blue Moon

All summer we had wanted to schedule a beautiful sunset photo shoot. Amazingly the evening that worked best happened to be the night of the Blue Moon! Lucky coincidence. Of course we had to stay long enough to capture the Blue Moon. The Blue Moon is defined as the second full moon in a calendar month. The first full moon was August 1st and the second full moon was August 31st the evening of our shoot.

The dramatic orange photograph above was the actual background that we captured a 300 lens. It was amazing.

Outfit

You might have seen this skirt and top last month in separate outfit posts, here and here. After seeing the two outfits I realized that these two items would look great together. I accessorized it with a simple brown woven belt and a pink flower I bought at forever 21.

We certainly had fun shooting this outfit and I love how these photos turned out! I hope you like them too. Please let me know what you think!

Summer Floral Dress

Even though summer is getting closer to its end it doesn’t really feel like it here. It’s been above 100 degrees everyday and I’m not a fan of the heat. So, I’m doing the only thing I can do and which is wearing lots of shorts, dresses, skirts and of course putting my hair up.

I recently bought this really pretty mirrored floral dress at H&M; it’s a great transition piece for summer. I decided to keep it simple and wear my hair up in a bun, two thin gold bracelets and bright printed flats. For a night outfit, wear heels instead of flats, a neutral blazer, add a clutch and you’re ready to go.

Pink Denim

Pink, floral and feminine; these three words sum up this look! A pretty summer outfit is just what I had in mind when I bought these pants. I had been searching for some perfect fitting pink denim for some time but couldn’t find the perfect shade of pink for me. Well, a couple of weeks ago during the summer sales I found these beauties at LOFT. The fit and color was just what I had been looking for and the price could not be beat. I would highly recommend you try their pants. I have bought many from LOFT and love them.

Comfortable Denim

I bought these incredibly comfortable pink denim shorts, made by Pilcro and the Letterpress, last week at Anthropologie. The shorts were on sale and available in my size, which is a rare occurrence at Anthropologie, so of course I had to buy them. These super neat jeweled “spidey” sandals are also new and very unique looking. What do you think?

Last week I went up and down California going shopping crazy for my birthday. I bought so many things and I can’t wait to share them with you! I was finally able to take advantage of some of the unbelievable summer sales going on. So lets just say I bought many many tops.

You may notice that my blog looks different, it’s an exciting improvement but I’ll touch more on that later this week!

Bright Pink Pants for Summer

I know what you’re thinking, bright pink shorts, bright outfit and now bright pink pants, when will this brightness end? I’ll stop posting bright outfits when I run out of bright outfits to share =). I recently bought these pants on sale and they’re perfect for summer. I centered the outfit on these bright pants and wore a very pretty pair of black heels and a scalloped lace top.

It’s only Tuesday and I can’t wait for the weekend. We’re taking a California road trip down the Pacific Coastal Highway from San Francisco to Malibu/Santa Monica! Yay! This means lots of fun pics and a video! Yes, I’m going to share with you a travel video so you can see for yourself the beauty of California. I appreciate your support and I’m excited to share with you more videos.

One Piece worn two ways

I’m extremely happy I bought these shorts; you recently saw them on the post, Bright Pink Shorts for summer. I couldn’t wait to wear them again so here is another bright outfit for your inspiration.

I’ve had this dress for a while and this is the first time I’ve wore it and I didn’t wear it as a dress. I easily tucked the bottom of the dress in and wore it as a top.

This creates a super simple outfit that can change from day to night. When it’s time for dinner or a late night just get rid of the shorts =). I love how these two colors look together. What do you think?

Time for Summer Outfits

Summer is here! Well, summer was officially here about 12 days ago but with the hustle and bustle of past days I haven’t had time to enjoy it. But I did this weekend; I spent most of my days outdoors enjoying the sun. Well more like hiding under a large sun hat with a maxi dress to stay covered because I tan way too quickly.

I’m pretty sure you know but in case you didn’t, many and I mean many sales are going on and I can hardly contain myself. I recently bought these bright pink summer shorts for 13 dollars; yep you read it right $13 dollars at NY&Co. I would highly suggest you to take a look at their summer sale.

Pastel Colors for Spring

Everywhere you go are beautiful spring pastel colors and I’m loving it! The lovely pinks, powder blues, yellows and lilacs brighten each day. Just like the colors in my watercolor inspired skirt from Forever 21 that I’m wearing. As you can see from this outfit, I’m embracing the pastel trend to its fullest by having pastel colors in every single piece of my outfit, from the heels to the bracelets.
