For the last weekend of summer we decided to head to the beach. Very appropriate don’t you think? We packed our swimsuits and drove to Santa Cruz, California. We knew there was going to be lots and lots of people and as you can see in the photo above of the beach boardwalk that certainly was the case. We arrived early and found a place to park because once the fog cleared and the temperature increased everyone flocks to the beach.

All summer we had wanted to schedule a beautiful sunset photo shoot. Amazingly the evening that worked best happened to be the night of the Blue Moon! Lucky coincidence. Of course we had to stay long enough to capture the Blue Moon. The Blue Moon is defined as the second full moon in a calendar month. The first full moon was August 1st and the second full moon was August 31st the evening of our shoot.

I bought these incredibly comfortable pink denim shorts, made by Pilcro and the Letterpress, last week at Anthropologie. The shorts were on sale and available in my size, which is a rare occurrence at Anthropologie, so of course I had to buy them. These super neat jeweled “spidey” sandals are also new and very unique looking. What do you think?
