Party Hair for the Holidays
Perfect party hair is an important part of your November and December plans. Creating a stylish hairstyle to match your Christmas parties and New Years Eve celebrations is a must.
The holiday hairstyles I’m sharing with you all have a glitzy touch, with embellished hair ties, headbands or hair clips.
Yesterday, I shared with you an easy holiday hair tutorial that works for any holiday party. Today, we’re exploring a fun party hair look with an embellished headband.
The High Ponytail
I start with a ponytail look because I wear my hair in a ponytail 40% of the time. Maybe I should share a variety of ponytail looks, let me know if you’d like to see more of them.
This high ponytail is very simple and deceptive. It’s two ponytails stacked on top of each other to make it look longer.
Let’s started creating this party hair look:
Step 1: With your hair dry curl all of your hair. Remember, always curl outwards so the curls are going away from your face not towards.
Step 2: Split your hair into two sections. Bottom half and top half.
Step 3: Grab a hair band and create the first ponytail.
Step 4: Grab two bobby pins and insert them underneath the ponytail hairpin. You want the bobby pins to prop the tail up.
Step 5: As you can see for the sideways photo, the ponytail is pointing up instead of down. You’re going to want to repeat this step for the top ponytail too.
Step 6: Unclip the top section of your hair and tie it.
Step 7: Grab a skinny comb and tease your ponytail. Make sure you tease the bottom ponytail so it looks like it’s one large ponytail. You don’t want the bottom ponytail to show.
Step 8: Grab a small section of hair and wrap it around the ponytail band. Add an embellished headband and you’re done!

I hope you’re having a lovely start to your holiday season!
